Every time I see a model minority news article, i think “another hit on Khmer people” and surely, you’ll see how the articles talk about how not all Asians are model minorities and are successful, look at Cambodian people.

My question is “does it matter”? Does the world need to keep hearing about how we’re the poor and uneducated Asians? For myself, I just don’t care. Just go to school, get an education, pursue opportunities, find a good job, save money, etc. I don’t feel like my family benefit from this. Sometimes I see Khmer people fighting to remind people that we’re the poor and educated Asians…why does it matter??

maybe cuz chinese & indian -americans, as model minority, generally strive for the best for the few kids they eventually do have.

but for some reason, virtually all k parents do opposite – mimic ghetto kmao/sdek people instead, and the kids they pump out are often like neglected, unwanted animals

I remember growing up, Khmer kids make fun of Indian kids. I didn’t think much about it, but when I went to college and work, Indians were all over the place and hardly any Khmers. Now my bosses are Indians. So when I see dumb Khmer kids now making fun of Indians, I tell them “You do realize that it’s the Indians who get all the good jobs”? Indians live in poorer neighborhoods because they are trying to save money for college and they eventually move out. Khmer people live in the ghetto because it’s a cycle. Fast forward and Indians are highly educated and make a lot of money. Most of them have stable families. Khmer people broken up in their 20s or 30s, Khmer single mothers sleeping around, driving Mercedes, and working low wage jobs. Fathers get deported.

take a look at the little india’s across america, coast to coast

they are full of 24K gold stores and rolex/movado stores lining entire blocks!

even their small mom & pop shops like sari (clothing) stores and indian buffets are LOADED with vibrant colors and healthful spices.

the streets are clean and meticulously landscaped. indians don’t settle for lex or beamers when they finally do splurge, they go straight to ferrari or lambos

take a look at little cambodia in lowell or cambo town in lbc.

    what do you see?

I’m not sure about Indian neighborhoods in America. I know that they stink, but I can’t fully judge yet. There is or was a lot of Indians down the street from me. What I notice is that they move in temporary for school or work, and move out really quickly. Indians are very mobile and a lot of them save money and buy a house together.

What I notice with Khmer neighborhoods is that there are so many luxury cars..but the neighborhood are sh*tty as hell. Very ghetto, dirty, and many people living in one apartment or house.

I would love to live around Khmer people, but I don’t really want to live in the ghetto. That’s why I study, work hard, and save money. I don’t spend money on luxury cars becasue that mean I don’t have money to move out of the ghetto. You notice in a lot of suburbs, they got sh*t cars, but the neighborhoods are nice? I also read that most rich people buy used cars….yet so many poor people buy new cars.

^most people -even kids- nowadays already have heavily calcified pineal glands and/or are archonically controlled thus find smells/tastes of anything with a high vibration (garlic, onion, sage, brassicas like cauliflower/broc/kale/cabbage, lameat, durian, etc) highly offensive.

likewise, if one pays attention to the way Indians and Chinese talk or sing its obvious there is so much rhythm, high notes, and harmony. the opposite is the case with K wangstahs talking ebonics amongst one another in the hood like they always about to jump one another. it sounds so catchy yet they are casting dark spells with every syllable without a clue.

Khmer people wont stay down forever. Even high school dropouts like me somehow manage to get back into swing of things. Honestly if anyone told me at the age of 16 that id be going to school for a degree id thnk youd be fuckin out your mind but as it is thats whats happening. One day my people will elevate themselves. Cambodians are loved and respected wherever they go. One day we will rise again but it’s not gonna be because of fake ass niggas talking shit online under aliases.

I don’t really want to talk to you and ignore you most of the time because you’re a discouraging useless person to me. People like you bring me down. Associating with you is money out of my pockets.

That being said, unfortunately, the value of a college degree went down significantly. Colleges purposely recruit dumb young people and encourage them to take out student loans so that the colleges can make money. They’re almost guaranteed to make money because student loans can’t be discharge in bankruptcy. They will get their money! Of course, that could change in a financial collapse or politics get involved. Nevertheless, half of college graduates probably will never work jobs that require degrees and most graduates don’t work in their majors. Khmers going to college, is not a symbol of progress…it’s a reflection of how corrupt the college and student loan organizations have become. I see Khmer people graduate college all the time and in my opinion, the vast majority are struggling. Why? Because most people get jobs through connections!!!!!!

I personally think it’s dumb for Khmer people to risk their lives for the US military, an organization that bombed Cambodia unfairly.

I went to college during a good time where there was a lot of financial assistance. There were many poor minorities that went to college at a very low cost, if not free. It was like a rare thing for a Khmer person to have a degree at that time. By the time I was graduating, the cost of college was starting to get ridiculous and there was a huge influx of kids who shouldn’t be in college going to college. And as a result, the value of a college degree decrease significantly. So I was very lucky to go to college during such an opportunistic time.
