This will be the Japanese anime thread. We’re going to be talking about stuff we are watching or have already watched.

There’s many stuff I’m watching. I’m looking forward to whatever good stuff coming out in 2019 that catches my eye. I am trying to catch up with Dragon Ball Super and Fairy Tail. A lot of stuff for me to see.

What are you watching or what stuff do you like?

Why does it have to be Japanese Animé?  Can it be homegrown here in North America?!

LOL I’m working on creating an animé series of my own.  I wrote some of the script when I was locked up in the cells.

“Girl with high score” it’s a Netflix original. “Ghost hunt” is good also. I just started getting into that through a friend. It’s really old.

Dragon ballz just been too much for me after GT. It doesnt feel the same from when Goku evolved from fighting freiza. That God mode and ultra instinct is just ridiculously OP. Not my cup of tea no more. Even so I still watch clips of fights here and there. It’s still good to watch if I’m trying to kill time.

Kakegurui. The drawings of the characters expressions can look sick or evil.

I saw Ghost Hunt a really long time ago, but I didn’t finish it.

I watched a couple episodes of Boogipop 2019. Anyone else seen it?

I haven’t had the time to watch any anime, but the last one was DeathNote. Love it! However, the American adaptation of it as a movie was stupid!

I enjoyed the anime..and I enjoyed the live action as well. I think that people often are too invested in how original something is and fail to just accept things as they are.

Accept things as they are? Lol, then they should have left it as how it was than to create a failed adaptation.

I didn’t like the intentions of Light’s character in the movie, it wasn’t the same as how it was in the anime. In the anime he was a serial/mass killer and didn’t seem to have any empathy. No one would have suspected him. In the movie however, it seemed like his drive was based on revenge…and he was a sloppy killer, totally different than the anime which makes it less interesting.

When I say accept things as they are, I’m saying accept whatever is given to you..and you’ll enjoy life more. The producers and director will always try to change things because they’re artists who want to do what they think is best or will make more money. And you have to understand that these movies are not made for Anime fans…they’re made for the general audience. I also like to watch some dramas and many manga/anime are adapted into dramas…and there are anime fans who get butthurt over it and cry that it’s not original or it’s changed. These morons don’t get that these anime were purposely created for DRAMA fans! Just as ridiculous to complain about a comic book made into a porno.

Yes, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to watch it…but it’s usually the biggest crybabies who are the ones who are first in line to watch it.

How would I know that I won’t like it if I don’t watch it? People that are in the first in line are usually the fans of the original. I guess I’m the biggest cry baby. I’m okay with that 😬

      I still heart you, mister.children.

The Promised Neverland. 3 of the characters have to figure out how to escape their orphanage. I don’t think they’ll be able to escape with all of the children.
