Conversations with Creative Cambodians-Jason Nou

Conversations with Creative Cambodians highlights different Cambodian artist each episode. Cambodians tend to be know for two things: The Killing Fields and donut shops. But there are poets and painters, sculptors and singers, dancers and film makers. This episode’s guest is Jason Nou. Jason Nou is an independent filmmaker and freelance digital media producer. His works have been screened at film festivals across the country. He earned his B.A. in Film & Digital Media from U.C. Santa Cruz and worked at Stanford University as an online video producer for over 10 years. Currently, he works with I.A.T.S.E. Local 16 as an AV technician and lights sets as a gaffer on the side. Jason is also a longtime contributor to the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) who organizes the CAAMFest film festival.
