A prominent member of the Cambodian-American community in the United States has announced she is running to be a Select Board member in the Massachusetts town of Bedford.
Bopha Malone announced her run in a statement sent to the media a few days ago.
Found mostly in New England states, a Select Board acts as the executive arm or governing body of a town. It is typically composed of three to five elected members.
