Three Cambodian men were detained at ICE headquarters in San Francisco on Wednesday and likely will be deported in the following weeks as the Trump administration looks to crack down on undocumented immigrants with old criminal convictions.
Among the men detained was Hay Hov, 39, of Oakland, a truck driver with an autistic son whose plight was featured in The Chronicle this week. Hov was transferred to the Mesa Verde detention facility in Bakersfield Wednesday night and will meet with Cambodian consular officials in Texas in a few weeks, according to his attorney.
